"I particularly enjoy combining the unique flexibility and responsiveness afforded by my aviation resources with my strategic case management experience to provide near 'zero notice' response to clients' patent litigation, trademark litigation, and other intellectual property and export control needs and emergencies, whenever and wherever they may arise. Even more so, I am gratified by gaining the trust of clients as I become part of their "corporate fabric" in my most cherished professional role - that of "trusted advisor". David G. WELCOME!
Welcome to my website - whether you are a first-time visitor, or a long-time friend. This site began as a place to post some of my favorite photographs, and as a way to convey information to my law students, but, as you will see, the site has grown to encompass a number of other areas.
I head the IP Litigation Practice Group for Gray, Reed & McGraw, LP. With the recent developments involving patent litigation in Waco, Texas, our firm is opening a Waco office (our firm's announcement is HERE). In view of my 20 years residence in Waco for my Baylor-related teaching and other activities, I am particularly pleased with this development.
Over the course of my 32 years of patent and trademark prosecution work (as a U.S. Registered Patent Attorney), and my work in IP litigation (patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright litigation ), I have been privileged to represent and advocate for the interests of clients throughout the world, both in initially securing rights in inventions, brands, and copyrightable works, and litigating disputes involving existing IP rights.
I have also been privilege to serve in various roles at Baylor University, including teaching patent, trademark and copyright prosecution and litigation courses at Baylor Law School since 1994. Priscilla and I have also had the privilege of serving students as advisors to several student organizations.
As a resource for those looking for general information on Intellectual Property Law, please refer to my various articles under the "Publications and Talks" tab of this website. For friends who may want to read a little more about my passions and other activities, please click on My Story.
Thank you for visiting my site.

P.S. As I am required to say, nothing posted on this site is intended to be legal advice. Every person's or business' legal needs are different, and even slightly differing facts can dramatically affect that which is the correct legal advice. If you have needs in the Intellectual Property field, please contact a patent lawyer (a Registered Patent Attorney) for any patent-related protection, enforcement or licensing needs, and an experienced trademark lawyer for anything to do with brand selection, protection, licensing and the like. The fields of Copyright and Export Control law are also highly specialized, and should likewise contact an experienced lawyer for help in those areas.
